10m3 Cold Room — Compact, Movable R290 Unit

The 10 m³ (roughly 350 cu ft) is our entry point: the most compact small cold room that still works as a genuine professional unit. It arrives pre-charged with R290, runs on a standard 230 V single-phase supply, and can be sited almost anywhere without a heavy concrete slab. A best-seller for game-hunting groups, small butchers, florists and restaurants on temporary premises.

Why is the 10 m³ so popular? Three reasons. First, it sits happily on stabilised ground without a heavy slab — compacted gravel, tarmac or simple concrete pads will do. Second, it runs on a 230 V single-phase supply, so there is no need for a three-phase grid connection. Third, it holds 400–600 kg of product, the equivalent of a small shop freezer or a full week's reserve stock.

When a 10 m³ is the right call

Family hunting groups or small shooting syndicates (3–6 wild boar hung, plus deer carcasses). The neighbourhood butcher without a cutting room (carcass storage plus finished products). The independent florist (weekly turnover of bouquets and plants). The restaurant under refurbishment or relocating (a back-up unit during the works). The smallholder valorising home-grown produce. For more than 6 boar, or volumes above 600 kg, step up to the 20 m³ — the price difference easily justifies the investment.

Siting and connection

Ground: four concrete pads at the corners, levelled to within ±1 cm, or a continuous 12 cm reinforced slab. Crane-lorry access width: 3.5 m minimum. Lifting clearance: 4 m below any obstruction. Electrics: a dedicated 16 A single-phase socket, with a 20 A rating recommended. A 30 mA residual-current device is mandatory. Supply cable 2.5 mm² up to 20 m, 4 mm² beyond. 30m3 Cold Room — The Limit of R290 Pre-Charge

30 m³ (roughly 1,060 cu ft) is the boundary of our pre-charged R290 catalogue. It is the format for farms handling post-harvest stock, caterers with large seasonal volumes, wholesale butchers and shared hunting estates. Above this point we switch to empty delivery, with the unit charged on site by a certified F-Gas engineer.

Can the 10 m³ run outdoors all year round?

Yes. The refrigeration unit is rated to operate between −15 °C and +43 °C ambient. The enclosure is IP54-sealed, with UV- and frost-resistant EPDM gaskets. Our advice: provide afternoon shade in summer to gain 20–30% in energy efficiency. No special winter maintenance is needed — the unit stays in service all year without fuss.

How many wild boar can you hang in a 10 m³?

With two fitted rails of hooks (an option at around €350 + VAT), allow for 4 to 6 adult boar (80–100 kg each) hung vertically, or 8–10 deer. If you mix hanging and shelving, plan on 3 boar hung plus one floor-level shelf for offal and cut joints.
