The 40 m³ is the global logistics standard. ISO 40' frame (12.2 m × 2.4 m × 2.6 m, or about 40 × 8 × 8.5 ft). Usable volume after insulation: 58 m³ gross, of which around 40 m³ is workable with industrial shelving, or 22–24 Euro pallets on the floor.
At 40 m³ frozen, R290 calls for forced ventilation of the space. R744 (transcritical CO₂) carries no ATEX constraint but needs a dedicated refrigeration unit (high pressure, 110 bar). For an industrial client who wants zero ATEX maintenance and a quiet long-term life, R744 is usually the right choice. For an isolated site with a well-ventilated space, R290 remains relevant and is 20–30% cheaper to install.

The 20 m³ (roughly 700 cu ft) is our best-seller. It has the capacity for a wholesale butcher, an active hunting syndicate, a mid-sized restaurant or a market garden handling post-harvest stock. Pre-charged with R290, 100 mm PIR insulation, 400 V three-phase. This is the format where the cost per m³ is at its best.

30 m³ (roughly 1,060 cu ft) is the boundary of our pre-charged R290 catalogue. It is the format for farms handling post-harvest stock, caterers with large seasonal volumes, wholesale butchers and shared hunting estates. Above this point we switch to empty delivery, with the unit charged on site by a certified F-Gas engineer.

For when the 10 / 20 / 30 / 40 m³ catalogue isn't enough. Free choice of volume from 5 m³ to 200 m³, dimensions to the centimetre, dual- or triple-zone layouts and advanced technical options. Our design office sizes it, you approve it, the factory builds it.
A reinforced slab of at least 20 cm, HA12 rebar on a 20×20 mesh, C30/37 concrete. Permissible load: 800 kg/m² (the empty enclosure weighs 4.5 t; with a typical product load, 18–22 t in total). Stabilised ground is acceptable only for empty storage or light loads. Foundation drawings are supplied with the quotation and can be checked by your structural engineer.
On price per m³: yes (15–20% less). On layout: no, if you want two separate zones (dual-temperature) — then a single dual-zone 40 m³ beats two separate 20 m³ units. On future mobility: two 20 m³ units move more easily (each lifts individually). The decision depends on your case — we talk it through in the quotation.
