The trailer is the format for operations that have to move: event organisers, mobile caterers, rotating game shoots, farms spread across several plots. A type-approved road chassis (EU type-approval), a standard hitch, overrun braking. The R290 pre-charged refrigeration unit runs on single-phase 230 V on arrival — no 3-phase connection needed.
GVW ≤ 750 kg: towable on an ordinary category B licence — this is our 5 m³ events unit. GVW between 750 kg and 3,500 kg: B+E licence (B96 training accepted up to a 4,250 kg combination). This covers the 10 m³ and 15 m³ formats. Above that you are into semi-trailer territory requiring a C+E licence — outside our mobile catalogue; speak to a refrigerated semi-trailer builder.
Parked on site, the trailer plugs into single-phase 230 V (16 A dedicated) — that is the advantage of single-phase R290. Battery autonomy on the integrated 12 V battery: it holds the cold for 4 to 6 hours off mains, just long enough to move it or get it connected. Optional integrated generator (silenced, 4 kVA) for sites with no electricity — around €2,200 + VAT extra.
A trailer is less insulated than a reefer container (PIR panels 80 mm vs 100 mm) — the weight trade-off to stay under 3.5 t GVW. The consequences: higher power consumption at the same temperature (around +25%), and a narrower stability margin in outdoor temperatures above 35 °C. If your need is fixed, a static container performs better; if you move, the trailer changes everything.

Yes. The trailer is registered like any trailer over 500 kg, and registration is supplied with delivery (included in the price). A trailer roadworthiness test applies for GVW above 3.5 t — our models sit below that. Trailer damage insurance is recommended (around €120/year with most insurers).
No. While towing, the unit is off and the insulation holds the temperature. The 12 V battery keeps the cold for 4-6 hours, which is ample for a regional move. Beyond that (a long relocation), plan a mains-connection stop, or clear the load beforehand.
Yes, for our 10 and 15 m³ correctly loaded. A 10 m³ has an empty weight of 1,800 kg, type-approved GVW 2,500 kg, so a payload of roughly 700 kg of product. Load more and you exceed the GVW and lose the right to tow — quite apart from the consequences in an accident. For storage needs above 700 kg, switch to a static container format.
