ecofrost.eu is a B2B importer. Our prices are shown and invoiced ex VAT to entities holding a valid business identifier — a national business registration number or an intra-EU VAT number from another member state. Strictly non-business private orders cannot be accepted; consumer-facing distributors exist for that need.

Who can buy as a private-professional?

Farm operators with a registered holding, even for valorised self-supply. Hunting syndicates and game-management bodies. Micro-businesses with a declared food activity (catering, direct sales, on-farm processing). Rural guesthouses with a registered service activity and produce preparation. Small-scale producers (beekeepers, duck breeders and similar) with a holding number. Any individual or entity without a business status is redirected to a consumer distributor.

The concrete pricing advantage

On a 10 m³ positive R290 pre-charged room: a consumer price at a national distributor runs around 8,500–11,000 € VAT-inclusive. Our direct-importer B2B price is 5,800 € ex VAT (6,960 € VAT-inclusive, but the VAT is recoverable for a business). Net saving: 30 to 45 % depending on your VAT status. That is what makes the investment pay back even on non-daily use.

The 20 m³ (roughly 700 cu ft) is our best-seller. It has the capacity for a wholesale butcher, an active hunting syndicate, a mid-sized restaurant or a market garden handling post-harvest stock. Pre-charged with R290, 100 mm PIR insulation, 400 V three-phase. This is the format where the cost per m³ is at its best.

I am a private individual with no business activity — can I buy?

No, our prices and terms are strictly B2B. Without a business registration or EU VAT number we cannot invoice or deliver. If you have a clear project and are considering a professional activity (valorised self-supply, guesthouse letting, a micro-business), let's talk — it is often possible to set up a suitable status within a few weeks at marginal cost. Otherwise, buy from a consumer distributor.

Does it have to be a specific national registration?

No, any valid intra-EU VAT number works, from any member state. Numbers are checked through the European Commission's VIES tool. For non-EU residents within our delivery area, we assess case by case according to your legal structure.

My business is dormant — does that count?

Yes, provided it is still active (not struck off) and the invoice matches your declared activity. If the registration has been struck off or dormant for more than two years, we ask for proof of activity before invoicing (a recent filing, an accountant's statement, and the like).
